View ETH BTC Ratio Chart on Coinbase on TradingView ↗What does the ETH/BTC ratio show?
The ETH/BTC chart follows Coinbase’s ETH/BTC spot market in TradingView. Each value is the number of bitcoin priced for one ether. An upward move means ETH gains against BTC on that market across the observations being compared.
Read it.
Don’t mythologize it.
The unit matters: 0.03 BTC per ETH describes a relative price, not three cents and not a percentage. Compare two observations from the same market and window. A lower ETH/BTC ratio means one ETH buys fewer BTC, even if both assets rose in US-dollar terms.
This is the directly traded spot pair. We do not reconstruct it by dividing dollar feeds with different timestamps. Use a short window for local movement or a longer one for context, and inspect each point’s timestamp before drawing a comparison.
If one ETH is priced at 0.03 BTC and later at 0.033 BTC, ETH has gained 10% against BTC over those observations. These values are examples, not live readings.
Relative outperformance does not guarantee a dollar profit. ETH/BTC can rise while both assets fall in USD if BTC falls more. The ratio is neither an executable cross-provider swap quote nor a universal measure of Ethereum network activity.
Less guessing.
Better questions.
Can ETH/BTC rise while Ethereum falls in dollars?
Yes. ETH can fall in USD while Bitcoin falls more. A relative-price gain and a dollar-price gain are different outcomes.
Is the ratio calculated from two USD charts here?
No. The displayed feed is Coinbase’s directly traded ETH/BTC spot pair. That avoids presenting two separately timed dollar observations as a synchronized ratio.
How fresh are the values, and can I export them?
TradingView supplies the feed and its observation timestamps. The crypto chart updates automatically while connected; check the widget’s status before treating a value as current. The page does not maintain a separate copy of live quotes or offer a market-data CSV export. If the source cannot load, use the direct source link.
