This Bitcoin price chart shows the BTC/USD spot market on Coinbase through TradingView. The vertical axis is US dollars per bitcoin; the horizontal axis is time. It follows that named market rather than an average of every Bitcoin exchange.
Read it.
Don’t mythologize it.
Choose a time window before judging the move. The provider labels the actual bar interval inside the plot. A candle collects several trades into an opening price, high, low and closing price. The current candle can change until its interval ends.
The line view makes the direction easier to follow. Switch to candles when you want the range traded inside each bar. Use the chart’s crosshair to inspect an earlier time, and check the right-hand price scale instead of guessing from the height of a line.
If a price changes from $60,000 to $61,200, that is a 2% increase over those two observations. That is a worked example, not a current price or a forecast.
A BTC/USD spot price is not the BTC-to-ETH or BTC-to-USDT amount you will receive in a swap. A provider quote also depends on the destination asset, available route and costs. This page does not measure Bitcoin network transfer fees.
Less guessing.
Better questions.
Why can the price differ from another website?
Different exchanges have separate order books and trades. An aggregate price, a perpetual futures price and this Coinbase spot market need not show exactly the same number at the same time.
Does changing the time window change Bitcoin’s price?
No. It changes the portion of history and bar interval you inspect. A short interval reveals more detail; a longer interval compresses it. The underlying market remains the named BTC/USD spot pair.
How fresh are the values, and can I export them?
TradingView supplies the feed and its observation timestamps. The crypto chart updates automatically while connected; check the widget’s status before treating a value as current. The page does not maintain a separate copy of live quotes or offer a market-data CSV export. If the source cannot load, use the direct source link.
